Guidelines and Requirements to Make A Request:

• An LTUSD School

• Grades 4 and 5

• The entire grade from a school attends (not just one class).

• Schools must attend an accredited/experienced camp (to be determined by fund board) OR create a teacher driven trip (teachers create/organize/run trip and provide schedule and details of learning experiences to our Fund)

• Standards based trip (academic, social and/or character)

• Overnight trip (Teacher stipend is a 3-night max)

• Teachers must attend with the class for the entire trip

• Chaperones fingerprinted/background check and full participation (ex: ride bus with students)

• Well planned: one pre- and one post- activity in classroom about trip/pertaining to trip; Schedule and information for families presented early.

• Request must be for Students on federal free and reduced breakfast/lunch program OR students with an unusual circumstance (letter from student required)
